EU PEERs Community of Practice

Ēkubirojs is part of the The EU PEERs Baltic Community of Practice. Its mission is to align policy focusing on EU directive transposition and build a “new Baltic roadmap” working together across three nations to dramatically increase renovation pace and quality while addressing our Soviet-era building stock challenges.

About the EU PEERs Project

Ekubirojs was a founding partner in EU Peers, a European community of practice for one-stop shops for building renovation, from September 2023 to August 2026 under Grant Agreement No. 101120790 (LIFE22-CET-EU Peers).
EU Peers connected the organisations that run, fund and advise one-stop shops across Europe so that what works in one country can be used in another. It built six national and regional platforms — in Spain, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy and Latvia — plus one transnational platform, and helped launch two further emerging platforms in Belgium and Germany. In Latvia, the national platform grew into a Baltic Community of Practice, extending outreach to Estonia and Lithuania. The project also established exchanges with peer networks such as ADENE in Portugal, and built the community’s lasting infrastructure: the EU Peers brand, website, intranet and social media channels, a network of national community managers, and recurring formats such as the “Who is Who” interview series and transnational meetings.
As of September 2025, fifteen months after launch, the community had grown to more than 415 members across Europe and more than 750 LinkedIn followers, with an approval rating above 90% in a 2025 member survey. Its continuation attracted more than 150 letters of support from stakeholders across the sector.

EU Peers II expands the community from six to twelve national platforms plus the transnational platform, again coordinated by Climate Alliance. In Latvia, the Latvian Building Energy Efficiency Facility AS (LABEEF) has taken on the national platform for this phase.
